We are looking to recruit a Medical Laboratory Technician in Cellular Pathology. You will aid our friendly team to provide the best possible service to patients across the region. Cellular Pathology is a busy department, receiving around 35000 histopathology and non-gynaecological requests each year and performing over 120000 tests. 

This post will provide a key strategic role in the development of POCT support services within the Trust but also across all healthcare partners. The role will build a POCT support service within the department which will in turn deliver accreditable POCT testing systems within the Trust. The role is expected to expand into the community and other healthcare settings as the local transformation programmes develop. The post will require the post-holder to work at both the PRH and RSH site. It is also likely that some work will require travel to primary and community care sites

We are advertising for a full time post working 37.5 hours over 7 days at any of the phlebotomy locations, primarily  Telford, Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours per day between Phlebotomy operating hours, following a rotational Rota for weekends and bank holidays.

Phlebotomy operating hours currently are: 08:00-17:00 Monday-Friday 08:00-12:00 noon Saturday's, Sunday's and bank holidays. These hours are currently under review and could be subject to change in the future.
